I live about 40 Minutes from the beautiful City of Saratoga Springs, New York. In the summer Saratoga bustles with tourists who flock to it to go to the thoroughbred Race Course, see the New York City Ballet or catch a concert at Saratoga Performing Arts Center- and while the city is fantastic in the summer, really, it’s a great place to visit any time of year. The shopping and restaurants are great, the downtown area is as beautiful as it is diverse. I recently had the opportunity through a collaboration to stay at the lovely Inn at Five Points which is just a short walk from downtown, and yet still on a quiet street.
Upon arrival guests are greeted by Austen, the gracious manager, and given a tour of the downstairs portion of the beautiful historic Victorian home which as been meticulously renovated and converted to the bed and breakfast. The first floor has two beautiful fireplaces burning and a cozy nook to enjoy the complimentary wine, coffee or tea that is offered.
Next guests are guided up the fantastic staircase to their room.
Cookies and Saratoga sparkling water were waiting in the room upon arrival! My rooms was comfortable and spacious. I loved the antiques, freshly renovated bathroom and soft sheets.
I was also extremely impressed with how delicious the complimentary breakfast was the following morning, Austen is an amazing cook and it was such a nice setting, eating in the bright, beautiful dining area.
The Inn at Five Points would be a great spot to stay in the summer months or make a great getaway for anyone looking for a special weekend any time of year- Hope you enjoyed my little tour! Leah
